Marosvásárhely / Târgu Mureș, Szováta / Sovata, 1-10 July 2008.℘
Civic Engagement Movement (CEMO) has organized a Training Course in 2008 July entitled “Together in Diversity”, Exploring the Challenges of Diversity and Promoting Intercultural Dialogue, that has brought together youth from different European countries with the aim to explore the realities and challenges of today’s multicultural societies as well as to promote the intercultural dialogue and tolerance. The most important goals of the training course were to share exchange and good practices and develop competencies of youth workers/leaders to become active promoters of cultural diversity in their community. The Training took place in Romania, in the town of Tirgu Mures/Marosvásárhely which is a bilingual town, where half of the population is Romanian and the other half Hungarian, therefore the city has dealt with the challenges of intercultural diversity for many years, and has much to share with the rest of Europe – as well as much to learn from the experiences and examples of others. There were 20 participants coming from Moldova Republic, Republic of Macedonia, Spain, and Romania.
This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.
