CEMO shadow report

Our NGO, Civic Engagement Movement (CEMO) submitted a shadow report to the Council of Europe about the application of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages by 11th June 2016, to complete the periodic report of the Romanian Government.
The shadow report prepared by CEMO focuses on the Hungarian community of Maros county and the application of language rights guaranteed by the internal law, international treaties and the constitution. CEMO’s shadow report firstly focuses on linguistic rights of the Hungarian community in the public administration and field of education. In this document, CEMO presented its experience in the area of linguistic rights, the anti-discrimination procedures of the NGOs and strategic litigation cases initiated by the organizaton.
